Job description

Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.
Families First

This is our dedicated Child in Need Service where you will work with children and families requiring social work assessments. We have developed a specialised service in this area to strengthen assessment and planning for children in need and their families, raising their status and ensuring a consistent approach across the borough. Teams complete duty on a rota basis, and social workers will have a varied workload including undertaking section 47 enquiries, completing child and family assessments, and managing a caseload of children supported through child in need planning.

It is important that social workers in this service can build relational partnerships that strengthen our work, enabling the safe step-down of plans in families’ timescales.
