Job description

Position: Agency Social Worker - Safeguarding and Support Team

Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

Blackburn with Darwen Children's Services, recently rated ‘Good’ in its full ILACS Ofsted inspection, is seeking 2 full-time experienced agency social workers to join its Safeguarding and Support team. The role primarily involves carrying out parenting assessments within pre-proceedings, with potential responsibilities in care proceedings work. One position is to commence immediately, and the other in June/July.

Candidates must be fully compliant, ideally possess a complete set of references, a current enhanced DBS check, and SWE registration with no notations.

Applicants must have access to a car daily and be willing to work in the office 3 days a week, as well as during emergencies and to meet service needs.

Competence in managing caseloads and IT, along with keeping records up to date, is required. Experience with Liquid Logic is beneficial but not essential.
