An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated individual to join the Children with Disabilities Team in Solihull. The role involves supporting children up to the age of 18 who have learning disabilities, physical or sensory impairments, chronic conditions, or multiple disabilities. The ideal candidate will be part of a supportive and collaborative team, committed to making a significant impact in the lives of children and their families.

As a Social Worker on the Children with Disabilities Team you will:

  • Screen and assess the needs of Disabled Children and Young People
  • Undertake Children and Families Assessments, Single Assessments, and complete Reports on Disabled Children
  • Complete statutory visits, including outside of county limits
  • Conduct Pre-Birth Assessments
  • Complete Care Plans, some jointly with health colleagues and other multi-agency professionals
  • Complete CIN/CP plans
  • Prepare Court Statements
  • Manage a complex caseload under strict time-scales

As a Social Worker you are required to:

  • Hold a Social Work England registration
  • Be eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a full UK licence
  • Have post-qualified experience
  • Have a degree level or equivalent in Social Work
