Children’s Social Worker
Team: Duty & Assessment
Location: Tameside
Rate: £39
Details:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and committed Social Worker to join us in our duty and assessment teams. The duty team will take cases from the point of referral, complete assessments, strategy meetings, initiate legal proceedings and PLO where required and the case will then transfer to our long term team thereafter.

About you

You will be an experienced Social Worker with at least 3 years’ previous child care social work experience. With good needs assessment and risk assessment skills you will be able to work effectively in multi-disciplinary system, as well as in a team across the service and with other agencies.

The duty teams are made up of a team manager, a senior practitioner and 6 social workers

  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
  • Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
  • Possess knowledge of service needs.
  • Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
  • Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
