We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Herefordshire to assist with the appointment of a Childrens Social Worker, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £23.08 - £30.80 per hour

Summary:

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Social Workers to join our dynamic Assessment Team in South Herefordshire. This is a vital role within our Childrens Services Directorate, offering the opportunity to make a direct and positive impact on the lives of children and families. As part of our ongoing Restorative Journey of Improvement, you will be instrumental in helping shape a better future for young people across the county.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct timely and child-focused assessments of children and families following referrals.
  • Investigate and evaluate risks and concerns, ensuring appropriate action and support is initiated.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children.
  • Manage a diverse and complex caseload, maintaining accurate and thorough records.
  • Produce high-quality written reports for court and other professional audiences.

Qualifications:

  • Recognised social work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying experience in statutory childrens social care.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
