Childrens Social Worker

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority Herefordshire to assist with the appointment of a Childrens Social Worker, on a 3.5-month contract, likely to be extended at client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £23.08 - £29.59 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Manage a complex caseload, providing professional and high-quality social work services to children and families.
• Conduct assessments, develop and implement care plans in accordance with statutory regulations and best practices.
• Work collaboratively with families to empower them to make necessary changes, ensuring child safety and welfare.
• Undertake safeguarding investigations and ensure effective risk management strategies are in place.
• Engage in court proceedings, providing well-written reports and giving oral evidence when required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent).
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in statutory social care, working with children and families.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Experience in managing complex cases and undertaking risk assessments.
