An exciting opportunity has arisen in one of our children’s homes for a Residential Team Leader!

We are looking for caring and compassionate Team Leaders who desire to make a positive difference in the lives of our children and young people by leading support workers through example.

Our children in the Colchester home are aged from 4 to 12 years old. It is a fast-paced, busy environment, and we seek individuals with an 'up for anything' attitude and a genuine love for working with young children. Your days will be varied, filled with fun activities!

• Basic salary of £14.17 - £14.99 per hour plus £30 per sleep-in
• 224 hours of paid annual leave per year
• Working on a rota basis with a monthly schedule provided 4 weeks in advance
• 40-hour weeks across 2-3 shifts, promoting a good work/life balance
• This role is available year-round, including holidays like Christmas and New Year, making celebrations with the children even more enjoyable
• Shifts include long hours and sleep-ins, with hours varying depending on the home location

Job Responsibilities

• Meeting the needs of children and young people in accordance with Ofsted regulations
• Planning team rotas and supporting the Deputy and Home Manager in meetings and appointments
• Assisting the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager with implementing the Statement of Purpose
• Carrying out tasks as directed by management
• Supervising in the absence of the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager
• Welcoming a diverse culture within the home
• Creating a safe, family-like environment for children

Candidate Requirements

• You must be 21 or older due to Ofsted regulations
• Driving is preferred but not essential, depending on home locations
• Refer a friend scheme available
• Eligible for a workplace pension after three months
• Opportunities for progression: Support Worker → Team Leader → Deputy Manager
• Fully paid 10-day induction course
• Enhanced DBS check paid for by Cambian Group
