Job Description:

We are seeking Children’s Residential Care Workers to join our residential services at Cambian. Our team is dedicated to creating a stable and welcoming environment where our young people are central to everything we do.

As a Residential Care Worker, you will be emotionally strong, empathetic, and committed to making a positive difference. Your role involves understanding our children and their backgrounds, ensuring their needs are prioritized, and maintaining safety and compliance with protocols and regulations.

Key qualities include empathy, compassion, resilience, and positive parenting skills. The role involves a varied daily routine, from organizing activities to providing 1:1 support.

We welcome enthusiastic, energetic, flexible, and caring individuals to work across Preston and surrounding areas.

  • Pay rate: £11.92-£12.54 per hour, plus a £30 sleep-in rate

The shift pattern is 16-24 hours, including sleep-ins, on a one-on-two or two-on-four basis.

A typical day may include caring for children aged 8-18 with behavioral and emotional needs, providing guidance, supporting education, promoting healthy lifestyles, and engaging in activities and outings.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable qualifications and experience include NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare, experience in therapeutic environments, supporting educational engagement, leadership skills, and higher qualifications.
