Job description

Sponsorship is not available for this position. Applicants must be a driver with own car. We are looking for Residential Children's Support Workers / Therapeutic Childcare Workers (with Education experience ideally!) for several residential services throughout the local area. There are a number of homes including those specialising in autism, speech and language disorders, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and associated behavioural difficulties, as well as therapeutic services for children with emotional and behavioural needs.

Opportunities are available for Seniors in Burton on Trent, Mickleover, and Derby. Applicants will ideally have NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children's Residential, Children & Young People's Workforce, or Family Practitioner.

Hours and shifts vary from fixed patterns to rotas arranged 4+ weeks in advance. This is a Children's Residential Support Worker position, requiring experience supporting children with learning disabilities or in therapeutic environments. Responsibilities include building self-esteem, supporting integration into the community, teaching life skills, organising day trips and healthcare appointments, delivering personal care, and administering medication.

The role involves undertaking regular checks throughout the night, completing paperwork to a high standard, and delivering personal care.

Some roles are temporary to permanent, starting with a 12-week agency contract before transitioning to a permanent position.
