An exciting opportunity has arisen in our children’s homes for Residential Support Workers! We are looking for a caring and compassionate individual with a desire to make a positive difference in children and young people's lives.
We offer both full-time and bank contracts with a basic salary of £11.59 to £12.23 per hour, plus sleep-in payments (£30.00 per sleep-in, based on 8-10 sleep-ins per month). You will also receive paid annual leave, a monthly rota, and work on a day-a-year schedule including Christmas, New Year, and other holidays, which is especially enjoyable when celebrated with the children.
Shifts involve long hours and sleep-ins (which are essential), with hours varying depending on the home. You must be at least 21 years old due to Ofsted regulations, and driving is essential due to the locations of the homes. No prior experience is required.
Additional benefits include a refer-a-friend scheme, enrollment in a workplace pension scheme after three months, progression opportunities (Support Worker → Team Leader → Deputy Manager), overtime paid at 1.25x, a fully paid 10-day induction course, an enhanced DBS check paid for by Cambian Group, and enrollment in NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce after a successful six-month probation.
