Cambian Group Plc is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for our Children’s Residential Care homes in Paignton. The role focuses on providing a safe, nurturing environment and helping children achieve personal goals while working within a multidisciplinary team.
You will support daily routines, school-related activities, and life skills development, with a strong emphasis on keeping children safe, heard, and valued. Full training is provided and DBS checks are required.

As a Support Worker, you’ll act as a positive role model and trusted adult in a child’s life. You’ll provide emotional support and practical guidance, while also creating a safe and supportive environment.
You’ll work closely with colleagues, social workers, teachers, and therapists – forming part of a multidisciplinary team all working in the child’s best interests.
You don’t need all the qualifications – we care about who you are as a person.
Experience in mental health, social care, or with children and young people is highly desirable, but not essential – full training is provided.
New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people’s records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided. However, all staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day-to-day role.
Cambian are committed to promoting the safeguarding and welfare of all children within our care. All applicants must be willing to undergo and enhanced DBS check and must be able to provide at least two references covering the past two years. Applicants must also provide information for all positions related to working with children and the vulnerable and details of employment going back to full time education.
