A reputable care organization is seeking a Registered Manager for dual children’s homes in Birmingham and Leicester. The role involves overseeing daily operations, leading staff to create a therapeutic environment, and ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), strong management skills, and relevant qualifications. Dual Home Leadership
Oversee the day-to-day management of two EBD children’s homes (Birmingham & Leicester).
Lead, support, and develop staff teams to provide a therapeutic, child-centred environment.
Maintain full compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations.
Care & Support Delivery
Design and manage personalised care plans meeting children’s emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs.
Promote structure, emotional regulation, and preparation for adulthood in a safe, nurturing setting.
Safeguarding & Compliance
Take overall responsibility for safeguarding across both homes.
Ensure quality assurance through audits, incident reviews, and continuous improvement.
Experience supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours
Proven management experience or strong deputy-level experience within children’s residential care
Sound knowledge of safeguarding law, Ofsted requirements, and Children’s Homes Regulations
Level 4 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a senior role within children’s residential care
Good understanding of trauma-informed practice
Full UK driving licence preferred
Must have the right to work in the UK – no sponsorship provided
Enhanced DBS check required
