Location: Great Barr, Birmingham
Pay Rate: £14 per hour (days) | £14.50 per hour (nights)
Shifts Available: Days 8 am - 4:30 pm | Nights 10 pm - 8 am

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in complex care and truly make a difference in the life of a wonderful young girl and her family.
We are looking for a compassionate and proactive Complex Care Assistant to support a 6-year-old girl with complex medical needs and a busy daily routine. This is a fulfilling role within a warm and nurturing family home, complete with friendly pet dogs.
This little girl is non-mobile and non-verbal but communicates effectively using an eye gaze device. Your role will be to support her medical and social well-being, helping to create an environment where she can truly thrive as an individual.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Catheter care and bladder/bowel washouts
Oral and nasal suctioning
Oxygen saturation (SATs) monitoring
Gastrostomy feeding and pH testing
Assessing the need for oxygen therapy
Administering nebulisers and performing physiotherapy percussion
Using specialist equipment (e.g., standing frame, shower table, feeding chair, wheelchair, sleep system)
Conducting therapeutic floor-based activities such as baby/child massage and baby/child gym exercises
Additional Information:
Due to the client's medical needs, wearing a facemask is required at all times while on duty to help minimise the risk of infection.
What you’ll need
Experience in PEG feeding and suctioning
Proactive and confident in using their initiative
Excellent at timekeeping and routine management
Passionate about person-centred care and child development
Comfortable working closely with a supportive family team who also have dogs
