Pay rate: £38,475 to £40,815 per annum* with opportunities to pick up overtime at an enhanced rate

What We Are Looking For

Bly House is a two-bed, Ofsted registered children's home providing immediate intervention and trauma-informed therapeutic support. Over a 12-week placement, our young people are given security, support, and stabilization in a nurturing and peaceful environment. Every placement provides PACE principle residential care, access to education, and participation in outdoor/adventure activities.

We would love to hear from candidates with experience in children's residential care, mental health care, special education, and/or young adult support work!

Estimated full-time salary based on a pay rate of £12.75 to £13.75 per hour for days (depending on qualifications held) and working 12 sleep-nights per month on average (at £60 per sleep night).

Requirements For a Children's Adventure Care Worker
  • Experience in a children's residential care home (highly desirable)
  • A level 3 (or above) diploma in residential childcare (desirable)
  • A full UK driving license (essential)
  • Applicants must have full right to work in the UK with no restrictions (essential)
  • Values aligned with Esland's, such as taking a therapeutic, person-centered approach to childcare (essential)
  • A keen interest in outdoor and adventure activities (essential)
  • Applicants must be aged 21 or above (essential) due to industry regulations
  • Successful employment is subject to satisfactory full enhanced disclosure, right to work, and reference checks in line with government regulations and Safer Recruitment Practices (costs covered by the company)
