Job Title: Advanced Social Work Practitioner – Children in Care Team (CASS)
Location: Bury, Greater Manchester
Contract: Full-time, minimum two months with potential for extension
Working Pattern: Hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week based in the office

Bury Council is seeking to recruit an experienced and committed Advanced Social Work Practitioner to join our Children in Care Team (CASS). This is a full-time position offered for a minimum of two months, with the possibility of extension depending on service requirements.

We are looking for a practitioner with significant experience working within a Looked After Children’s Team. The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting children and young people in care, helping them to achieve the best possible outcomes and transition successfully into adulthood. You will be part of a vibrant and supportive team, where your skills and dedication will be highly valued.

This role is central to Bury’s ongoing transformation of children’s services. We are committed to doing things differently and improving the lives of our young people. As an Advanced Social Work Practitioner, you will play a key role in shaping the services we are developing and will be provided with the tools and resources needed to carry out your role effectively.

Applicants must be able to provide five years of references, with any gaps in employment history fully explained. All relevant qualifications and experience will be assessed in line with the job description and person specification.
