Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptionally experienced, dedicated, and compassionate Counsellor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide guidance and support to individuals facing a range of challenges in their lives.

We are particularly looking for counsellors who specialise in working with couples. You must be a qualified counsellor and registered with a professional body.

Your responsibilities will include assessing clients' needs and applying therapeutic techniques to help them overcome difficulties and improve their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health, emotional well-being, and specific needs.
  • Develop personalised therapy plans aligned with clients’ goals and objectives.
  • Provide one-to-one counselling sessions to explore clients’ thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote peer support and interpersonal development.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual client needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive client care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in the counselling field.

Requirements

  • Qualified as a counsellor
  • Accreditation or registration with a recognised professional body (e.g., BACP, UKCP, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in providing counselling services (internships considered).
  • Specialism in adult and relationship counselling is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in IT systems for documentation and record-keeping.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide clients towards positive change.
