North Kent Mind is offering four trainee posts for Child and Young People’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) Trainees as part of the NHS England-funded programme. Trainees will complete the CWP PGDip at King’s College London while gaining hands-on experience delivering evidence-based interventions to children and families.
The role focuses on early intervention with young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, supported by supervision.

These posts form part of the NHS England-funded Children and Young People’s Psychological Training Programme and provide an opportunity to combine clinical practice with postgraduate study.
Successful candidates will complete the Child and Young People’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) PGDip at King’s College London while gaining practical experience delivering evidence-based interventions to children, young people and families experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
Child and Young People’s Wellbeing Practitioners work with children, young people and families experiencing a range of emotional wellbeing concerns, including anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties. The role focuses on early intervention and prevention, helping children and young people access support at the earliest opportunity and reducing the risk of difficulties escalating.
Working within a supportive and values-driven service, trainees will receive regular supervision throughout the training year and develop the knowledge, skills and experience needed to build a career within children and young people’s mental health services.
