Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our team in Devon. You will work with children and young adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues, or challenging behaviours, providing supportive care and safeguarding.

We value experience in SEN education, youth work, or fostering, and require a Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent. A flexible approach to shifts, weekends, and overnight stays, and a driving license are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children or young adults with learning disabilities, mental health or challenging behaviours.
• Experience in SEN education, youth work, or fostering is advantageous.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and overnights.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive care for children/young adults in a residential setting.
• Support with daily routines, safeguarding, and behaviour management.
• Collaborate with care teams to plan individualised support.
