Job Description:

Position: Children's Support Worker

Requirements:

  • Must have a full UK driving license (vehicle provided)
  • At least 1 year experience supporting children and young people
  • Willingness to travel to other homes in the area if needed
  • Preferably NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or willing to work towards it

Working Hours: Part-time, approximately 28-30 hours per week, shifts from 8am to 10pm, 7 shifts in 3 weeks

Salary: Starting from £19,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications

About the Role: My client is a leading provider supporting young people and children. This role involves working in a high-quality accommodation, providing professional, caring, and therapeutic support to vulnerable young people, including those with challenging behaviors and learning disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Home Manager & Service Manager to ensure the home operates effectively
  • Create a safe, warm, and homely environment for young people
  • Lead and organize activities and support for children
  • Maintain accurate records and administrative systems
  • Coordinate with educational providers and external agencies
  • Ensure the environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming
