Deputy Manager Role

I am recruiting for a Deputy Manager position. For this role, you must have your Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People.

A UK manual driving licence is essential (you don’t need a car). Experience in a similar role or relevant personal life experience, along with an understanding of the industry, is required.

About the Role

We are looking to recruit individuals to support children and young people in a residential home setting. Residential support roles involve long day shifts and sleep-ins at the home overnight.

Our client is renowned for providing high-quality residential care and education for children and young people with adverse childhood experiences, including those living with mental health conditions such as Autism, Social, Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD), and complex needs.

Responsibilities
  • Support children in all aspects of their daily lives, helping them maintain and develop relationships with friends and family.
  • Encourage community integration by attending clubs, events, and social activities.
  • Safeguard children and report any suspicion or evidence of harm.
  • Perform basic housekeeping duties when children are not in the service.
  • Engage in activities like watching movies, reading, taking walks, playing games, and other fun activities, promoting a love-led environment.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role or personal life experience preferred.
  • Desire to put others first and take pride in supporting service users.
  • Children’s Residential Level 3 qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • UK manual driving licence is essential.
  • Ability to work long shifts (e.g., 8am to 10pm) and sleep-ins from 10pm to 7am.
  • Availability for rotating shifts, including occasional weekends.
