Job Overview

Our client is a leading provider of care for children and young people in the area, with current vacancies available.

Compensation

£9.75 – £12.01 per hour plus a sleep-in allowance of £53.81, depending on qualifications and experience.

Role Responsibilities

Supporting children aged 5-16 by helping to increase their independence skills and providing overall support as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • High standard of general education.
  • Preferably, NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People Workforce or a similar qualification.
  • Willingness to undertake further training.
  • Current full driving license with business insurance.
Job Purpose

To provide support for vulnerable service users in accordance with company guidelines.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Assist the allocated social worker in delivering services, including:
  • Transport and escort duties as per care plans.
  • Welcoming and induction for young people.
  • Conducting ongoing assessments.
  • Providing support and monitoring of young people.
  • Assisting with welfare and NHS-related issues.
  • Preparing reports and arranging appointments with partner agencies.
  • Maintaining regular contact with young people and informing them of support groups.
  • Supporting move-on processes for service users.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records related to young people.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Provide mediation and utilize IT packages effectively.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Contribute to policy and procedure development.
  • Report housing issues and assist in defect resolution.
  • Undertake on-call duties and participate in office reception duties as needed.
  • Work sleep-in shifts and demonstrate flexibility to cover all offices.
