Children's Residential Support Worker

Vetro Social Care is recruiting for a Children's Residential Support Worker for a small residential home in New Tredegar, with an immediate start. Join an experienced team dedicated to providing excellent care for children.

Overview:

• Pay: £13.68 - £27.36 per hour (including holiday pay)
• Location: New Tredegar
• Hours: Flexible shifts, including 07:30-23:00, with sleep-in options
• Weekly pay, no payroll charges, free food on shift
• Opportunities in various social care and healthcare settings
• Support from a dedicated consultant
• Free online training and subsidised practical training (TMVA, PMVA, PBM)
• Agency worker of the month prize: £50

Responsibilities:

• Support children and young people with daily activities and interests
• Promote independence and wellbeing
• Participate in trips, holidays, and activities, including weekends away
• Support children in their interests, from climbing to baking and trips to Butlins
• Protect children from health and welfare risks
• Provide emotional and practical support
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety guidelines
• Assist in managing challenging behaviour and incidents

Requirements:

• Desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children
• Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
• At least 6 months experience in social care or working with children
• Valid UK Driving Licence
• Current Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• Right to work in the UK
