Job Description:

Working as a Children's Speech and Language Therapist, you will deliver face-to-face therapy sessions for children with communication and language disorders. The successful candidate will collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to provide effective therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Conduct assessments to diagnose speech and language disorders in children.
  • Develop and implement individualised therapy plans based on assessments and guidelines.
  • Provide face-to-face therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to set and achieve goals.
  • Monitor and document progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
  • Guide and support parents/caregivers with strategies for home practice.
  • Stay updated on current research and developments in speech and language therapy.
  • Attend team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential client records in compliance with standards.
Requirements:
  • Speech and Language Therapy Degree.
  • Registration with the HCPC as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Membership with the RCSLT or equivalent.
  • Experience in delivering speech and language therapy to children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse client needs.
  • Enhanced DBS within the last 12 months; fast-track options available via the update service.

  • Shift Pattern: 09:00 – 17:00 (flexible)
