We are seeking a dedicated and skilled children's psychotherapist to join our professional Health and Wellbeing Team. If you have a strong background in supporting children and adolescents impacted by trauma, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful difference. You will deliver direct therapeutic support to children, collaborate with care teams, and help create a trauma-responsive environment that fosters healing and growth.

Your Role
  • Provide individual and group therapy tailored to children's needs
  • Collaborate with carers, families, and the team to develop support strategies
  • Assist teams in understanding children's behaviors, offering training and insights
  • Create therapeutic plans and reports to support children's progress
  • Utilize outdoor spaces and facilities for engaging activities
  • Work flexibly at our Penrith Head Office, in children's homes, and from home occasionally
  • Travel across Cumbria regularly to connect with children and care teams
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience working directly with children in counselling or psychological roles
  • UKCP/BACP registration and Level 4+ counselling qualification
  • Knowledge of trauma and attachment theories
  • Understanding of legislation and safeguarding in childcare
  • Strong communication, IT skills, and record-keeping proficiency
  • Valid UK driving license and own transport
