Job description

We are welcoming applications from experienced Theatre Practitioners or newly registered nurses or ODPs with theatre experience, whether from previous employment or during training.

Our roles are rotational within theatres, with a focus on candidates interested in joining our anaesthetic team.

As a skilled ODP or Registered Nurse seeking a new challenge, you will be valued. Join our vibrant team at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC) to deliver world-class care in a supportive environment that feels like family. You will have opportunities to learn new skills daily.

We currently offer both full-time and part-time positions due to departmental expansion. Our Education team provides training in advanced airway management, invasive line management, emergency scenarios (such as anaphylaxis, major hemorrhage, local anesthetic toxicity), and fluid and pain management.

This position is not suitable for nurses requiring OSCE for NMC UK registration.

Our Coastguard and Horizon Children’s Theatres Department has 9 theatres across two paediatric departments, covering specialties including neurosurgery, scoliosis, cardiac, interventional radiology, oncology, general surgery, urology, ENT, orthopedics, renal, plastics, burns, dental, maxillofacial, laparoscopic, and endoscopy.

Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC) is located in Bristol, a vibrant city rich in art, culture, restaurants, and nightlife. It offers a great work-life balance, with city life and countryside close by.

We invite you to arrange an informal visit to see our supportive environment firsthand.
