Job summary

Prestige Nursing & Care Blackpool is seeking reliable and dedicated individuals to help children with additional needs in home and care settings. The role covers personal care, feeding, medication administration, epilepsy management, moving and handling, and engaging children in meaningful activities.

Shifts are mainly on weekends and during school holidays, 4-6 hours per day. Full specialist training and competency assessments are provided; DBS via Update Service can fast-track applications.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal care and complex care tasks is advantageous.
• DBS check via Update Service is preferred for fast track.
• Commitment to high standards of care for children with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and continence support.
• Administer medications as directed and manage gastrostomy care.
• Assist with epilepsy management and emergency procedures.
• Perform moving and handling tasks including hoisting where required.
• Support children with physical and learning disabilities.
• Engage service users with meaningful sensory activities.

Previous experience would be advantageous; however, full specialist training and competency assessments will be provided. Shift times will be mainly over weekends and during school holidays to support the families between 4-6 hours per day.

Role Requirements:
