Overview

Children's Support Worker – Swansea. Are you an experienced Residential Children's Support Worker or Senior Support Worker looking for extra shifts to expand your skills and experience? Are you looking for flexible part-time or full-time hours around your other commitments? And do you want to make lasting and transformative change to the lives of children and young people in your local community?

Brook Street Social Care works with a large local organisation that has various services for children and families dotted across the Swansea area.

You will have the opportunity to work with children and young people in a range of settings such as residential children's homes, respite services, emergency placements, contact centres and local hospitals. We will support you in your career with extensive FREE training and the opportunity to progress in your career with access to qualifications.

Benefits

Pay rates up to £16.50 an hour (with holiday pay on top!) depending on qualifications, the type of setting that you are working in and the length of time working with us. We pay via PAYE so there are no hidden fees or nasty surprises with umbrella payroll companies! Full time and part time flexible hours that can work around personal, family, educational commitments.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with children in a residential care home setting.
  • Ideally you have at least a QCF level 2 or above in Children and Young People.
  • You will be willing to complete additional training courses where applicable.
  • You will be a driver with access to your own vehicle and have business insurance.
  • Up to date experience working with children in a similar setting for approx. 12 months.
