Your Role

• Supporting children aged 6–18 with emotional behaviour disorder and/or complex needs in Cardiff
• Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
• Ensuring an inclusive environment respecting diversity of backgrounds, situations, and abilities
• Following personal care plans based on assessed needs and goals
• Maintaining health and safety standards to ensure wellbeing
• Building rapport and empowering children and young people to reach their potential
• Developing good relationships with families
• Maintaining accurate records in accordance with GDPR
• Providing child-centred care for children with complex health/emotional needs
• Carrying out personal care tasks if required

Requirements

• Child-centred approach to care
• Positive attitude towards care
• Experience in children’s social care or transferable roles (desirable)
• Full UK driver’s license
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (desirable, work towards it if not)
• Basic understanding of children’s rights and safeguarding
• Experience working in multi-agency environments (desirable)
• Self-motivated and determined to succeed
• Enhanced DBS check (Update Service DBS preferred)
