Job description

We are working in partnership with a provider of children's services and have a permanent opportunity for a Residential Children's Worker based in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire.

If successful, you will be part of a team providing support to children with EBD within a brand new 3-bed children's home.

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week, including sleep-ins.

Alongside numerous benefits and progression opportunities, our client offers a pay rate of GBP12.21 - GBP13.00 per hour, plus GBP50 per sleep-in.

Driving license is essential.

As a Residential Children's Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing support using a person-centred approach.
  2. Supporting children to maintain and develop relationships with friends and family.
  3. Encouraging children to integrate with the local community by attending clubs or day centres.
  4. Supporting children in all aspects of their daily living.
  5. Safeguarding vulnerable children and reporting any suspicion or evidence of harm.
  6. Maintaining a continuous commitment to professional development.
  7. Willingness to cover other homes when required.
  8. Liaising with parents, carers, and other professionals.
