Your Role

As a Children’s Support Worker, you will work closely with children in care, focusing on their needs in all aspects of life, including education, hobbies, and activities.

Your support will contribute to positive outcomes, shaping the future of children and young people. You should be motivated, committed, and genuinely interested in delivering top-quality care across various settings, including Mental Health, Autism, Challenging Behaviour, Education, and Residential care.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting, safeguarding, and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people
  • Assisting with daily routines, including community and educational settings
  • Organising and facilitating social activities
  • Transportation
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe practices
  • Providing high levels of supervision and support
  • Working in line with Ofsted and CQC regulations
  • Managing complex behaviours and crisis interventions
  • Contributing to care plans and risk assessments, including reviews and implementation

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 12 months of post-qualification experience in a child or young adult setting
  • Must be over 21 years old to meet industry regulations
  • Knowledge in EBD, SEMH, CSE, or SEN/SEND
  • Diploma Level 3 in Children’s and Young People, with Level 4 preferred
