Children's Support Worker

Prospero Health and Social Care supports Children and Young Adults in unregistered settings and bespoke crisis intervention placements. We are actively seeking experienced support staff for our ever-expanding organisation in Cardiff and surrounding areas.

We have excellent part time and full time opportunities on an agency basis for Support/Senior Workers to join our team. Every day is different and you will face new challenges. We need staff members with a can-do attitude, who are willing to go above and beyond for the children in their care to better their lives, promoting independence, being a role model, and achieving a successful home environment for them to live in, in line with local authority care plans.

• 12 months paid experience within the health and social care sector (working with children and young adults)
• Must be able to drive and have business insurance
• Happy to travel
• Reliable, flexible, and compassionate
• NVQ Level 3 in children and young people (desired but not essential)
• Social Care registered

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Part-time hours: 48 per week

Day range:

• Some weekends
• Monday to Friday

Physical setting:

• Residential home
• Sheltered housing

Shift:

• 12 hour shift
• Day shift
• Night shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Cardiff: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)

Work Location: In person
