A successful Residential Children worker will be responsible for:

• Providing 24-hour care to vulnerable young people
• Ensuring children’s health, hygiene, and safety needs are met.
• Administering medication
• Providing care, support, and emotional guidance to children living away from their families.
• Assisting in personal development, education, and social interactions.
• Managing challenging behaviour with appropriate strategies.
• Teaching essential life skills for independent living.

To be successful in your application, you will:

• Have previous experience working in a residential setting with young people
• Have flexibility in the roles undertaken
• Experience in assisting with educational needs and activities for children
• Have strong communication skills
• Register under the PVG scheme
• Full driving license (Preferred)
• Obtained, or working towards SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable
