Join an innovative team as a Speech and Language Therapist with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. You'll manage a diverse caseload of children, providing therapy and support across various community settings. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified Speech and Language Therapist or an experienced band 5 Therapist to work with our innovative and supportive team.
Peterborough speech and language therapy service is a small team based in a diverse city that has convenient transport links. As a service we pride ourselves on supervision and support, CPD opportunities and the breadth of caseload experience/therapy we enable our therapists.
We have received positive feedback from our current band 5 Therapists including “The team were incredibly welcoming and supportive, and I gained and continue to gain a diverse range of skills across all aspects of paediatric speech and language therapy” and “I have developed my confidence and knowledge across many areas of speech, language and communication, but also my ability to remain resilient when facing the many pressures in an NHS role”.
The post holder will be responsible for the independent management of a clinical caseload of pre-school and school-aged children in community settings. This may include community clinics, pre-school settings, mainstream and special schools in and around the area of Peterborough. The client group is children who have a range of difficulties in understanding and/or using speech and language.
