Job description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's SP - Extra Familial Harm Team in Southwark. The successful candidate will contribute to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare through effective assessment and intervention strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing care plans that prioritize children's safety and well-being.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of interventions and outcomes.
  • Providing support and guidance to families, empowering them to make positive changes.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Experience working with children and families in a social work setting, particularly in safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in child protection and safeguarding.
