Job Description:

The social worker will develop and apply their skills and knowledge through formal qualifications, mentoring, and guidance from experienced practitioners. They will handle increasing levels of complexity, responsibility, and independent decision-making.

This role involves working as part of a team to support adults at risk and children at risk, along with their families and carers.

The social worker will undertake assessments, develop care and support plans, and adapt social work techniques to meet individual needs. They will work in partnership with others to promote positive outcomes, ensuring all individuals have evidence-based, recorded, and regularly reviewed plans.

The role includes safeguarding the welfare of adults and children at risk by making decisions in their best interests. For team members on a duty rota, immediate response to cases is required, including assessment, planning, and managing risks effectively.
