Overview

Children's Social Worker, Fostering Team, Birmingham. An acting up opportunity has arisen within the Fostering Service for a Supervising Social Worker in Fostering Support Team 1. This secondment position potentially runs until June 2026. Our Fostering Support Team supports placements for children and young people who are cared for by our mainstream foster carers. We are a dedicated, passionate social work service, led by experienced managers that support, advise and supervise all approved mainstream foster carers. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be passionate about making a positive difference and achieving change for the children and families we work with. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of approved foster carers. You will be provided with a supportive team environment where you will have access to the right tools, equipment and resources, so you can focus on your work. You will receive regular supervision and training opportunities which will support your career development. You will deliver consistent high-quality child focused support to Birmingham's mainstream foster carers and the children in their care.

£up to 33.30ph
