Children’s Social Worker, Fostering, Support and Development - Shropshire

Pay rate: £33.30 per hour

Contract role – Fostering, Support and Development Team

Pertemps is recruiting an experienced Children’s Social Worker in Shropshire to work within the Fostering, Support and Development Team.

Responsibilities:
  1. Be a team member of an established Support and Development service.
  2. Possess good knowledge and experience working in accordance with Fostering regulations and NMS standards. Ensure all compliance for foster parents is updated and recorded on LCS. Support foster parents with trauma-informed understanding and therapeutic principles.
  3. Supervise foster carers, ensuring key areas are discussed, recorded, and challenged where necessary.
  4. Manage a caseload of foster parents and complete all related tasks as a Social Worker.
  5. Efficiently record fostering annual reviews and present to panel when required. Attend team meetings and support colleagues as needed.
  6. Participate in a duty rota, supporting foster carers and completing viability assessments twice per month.
Work Arrangement:

Hybrid work policy with access to office space at the Guildhall building in Shrewsbury. Foster carers mainly reside in Shropshire County. Ability to work more from home with occasional office presence.
