Children’s Social Worker, Family Safeguarding Therapist, Walsall

Pay rate: £34.20 per hour

Contract role – Family Safeguarding Mental Health Team

Pertemps is recruiting for an experienced Children’s Social Worker in the West Midlands. This role is based in the Family Safeguarding Mental Health Team in Walsall.

Responsibilities
  1. Work within the Family Safeguarding Mental Health Team to deliver psychological and systemic interventions with parents and carers in Walsall, both on a 1-2-1 basis and within groups.
  2. Engage with adults with significant and complex needs, focusing on their mental health and well-being, while liaising with the wider social care system involved with the family.
  3. Provide clinical services including assessment, formulation, and time-limited evidence-based interventions.
  4. Identify appropriate mental health/psychological interventions for individuals and develop bespoke interventions for parents, based on their mental health needs, using models such as trauma-informed CBT, DBT, EMDR, functional therapy, and systemic family therapy.
  5. Qualifications and experience in delivering therapeutic interventions across various specialisms are required.
  6. Driving is essential for this role.
  7. This position involves hybrid working, with all therapeutic appointments conducted face-to-face.
