Job summary

Caritas Recruitment Limited is seeking a qualified Children’s Social Worker to join a dedicated Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team. You will manage a varied caseload, complete high-quality assessments, develop care plans, and ensure the child’s voice remains central to all decisions.

You will work with families, schools, health professionals and other partners to coordinate services, support transitions to adulthood, and promote wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with a recognised professional registration.
• Experience working with children, young people and families.
• Desirable: experience in Children with Disabilities, safeguarding, looked-after children or related statutory setting.
• Strong assessment, recording and report-writing skills.
• Willingness to travel and a current driving licence may be required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake child and family assessments and reviews of support packages.
• Contribute to safeguarding enquiries and prepare reports for meetings, panels and legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with families, schools, health professionals, education services and providers to coordinate services.
• Support transition planning for young people moving into adulthood and monitor outcomes.
