Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking experienced Social Workers to join its Assessment Teams in Huntingdon and South Cambridgeshire. The role offers hybrid working, relocation support, and opportunities for sponsorship transfer.

You will deliver high-quality statutory assessments and safeguarding interventions to protect children and support families. As part of a dynamic team, you will handle complex cases, manage a caseload of around 25 families, and contribute to effective court reporting

Qualifications

• Undertake statutory assessments and formulate effective plans for children and families.
• Lead strategy discussions and multi-agency meetings.
• Complete Section 47 enquiries and safeguarding investigations.
• Prepare high-quality court reports under Sections 7, 37 and 31.
• Complete SWET assessments and care plans where required.
• Work closely with partner agencies to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory requirements.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 25 children and families.

Salary: £41,958 - £44,822 per annum
