General Overview :
As a Social Worker within the team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in fulfilling statutory responsibilities for Children in Care (CIC). The role involves utilising knowledge and expertise to support the team, ensuring the best outcomes for children in care.
The ideal candidate will have recent experience working with CIC and adoption, having held a CIC focused role within the last five years.
Due to the nature of the work, the role requires local and occasional longer-distance travel. Main Office Location: Civic Centre, 1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ.
The team is deeply committed to learning and self-development, meeting every two weeks to discuss various topics with a team member leading the session, such as practice models, tools, and ideas. This collaborative approach fosters a strong sense of unity and partnership.
Team Structure:
The team consists of a Team Manager, a Deputy Manager, 4 Senior Practitioners, 14 Social Workers and 2 Social Worker Assistants.

Working Arrangements :
The Social Workers are primarily based on-site, with the flexibility to work from home up to two days per week. These remote working days are flexible, and there are no fixed office or home days. However, if there is a need to be in the office, the Social Worker must be able to travel and be present as required.
