Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates supports a Local Authority in Bradford in recruiting a Qualified Social Worker for the Children and Families service. The role is permanent, full-time and hybrid, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding and achieving positive outcomes for children and families.

The successful candidate will work across frontline teams, assess risks, coordinate with education and health partners, and maintain comprehensive case records.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Social Work is required.
Right to work in the UK (no VISA sponsorship).
Experience in frontline teams post-qualification.
Up-to-date understanding of relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

Safeguard children and promote their welfare.
Assess the needs and risks of children and families.
Manage Child in Need and Child Protection cases.
Work directly with children and families to improve outcomes.
Coordinate support with schools, health services, and other agencies.
Monitor and review plans to ensure children remain safe and supported.
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports when required.
