Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust in Rochdale is seeking a Band 5 Children’s Speech and Language Therapist for maternity cover, with supervision and training opportunities. You will work across clinics, education settings and community venues to support children with diverse communication needs.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, professional development and contributing to student education, with strong management supervision and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Health and Care Professions Council – Licence to Practice.
• Registered Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapist.
• Recognised Speech & Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent.”

Responsabilités

• Provide specialist triage, assessment, differential diagnosis, treatment and discharge recommendations for children and young people with communication needs.
• Provide specialist assessment for children and young people with a range of needs.
• Conduct face-to-face appointments for assessment, treatment and review.
• Communicate effectively with children, families, team members and other health and education staff.
• Maintain excellent organisation and caseload prioritisation.
• Work across clinics, education settings, children’s centres and family homes.
• Drive continuous improvement and contribute to developing new ways of working.
• Deliver training to the wider children’s workforce on communication difficulties and related training packages.
