Education and Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • UK NMC registered children's nurse
  • Critical Care Course Level 3 (PICU)
  • APLS

Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience

Essential criteria

  • Minimum of 3 years post registration experience
  • Previous experience of working within Children's Intensive care
  • Minimum 1 year's consolidation of Critical Care Course Level 3 (415) over a winter period.
  • Good communication skills

Desirable criteria

  • Formal teaching to groups of staff

Personal Qualities

Essential criteria

  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Demonstrate Trust values at all times
