Children's Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Bradford

Hourly Rate: £12.50 - £13.80

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 35 – 40 hours per week (Full Time)

The children and young people you will be supporting have experienced trauma throughout their earlier life and deserve the opportunity to live and grow in an environment free from harm and abuse, build safe and meaningful relationships, and enjoy fun and unique experiences.

Job Description:
  • Assist the home’s management team in achieving the aims and objectives of the Statement of Purpose and uphold the organisation’s mission statement and values.
  • Support and assist in the leadership of the care team to dynamically meet the changing needs of the children and young people, and support in the day-to-day running and delivery of practice across the home.
  • Support the Registered Home Manager in providing the best quality childcare in a safe and care-focused environment for the children. Responsibilities include monitoring and supervision of staff and completing daily tasks while ensuring the welfare and care of the young people.
  • Support the development of residential care worker colleagues through effective peer role modelling, guidance, task setting, and debrief and reflection.
  • Support the Home Manager in establishing an effective supervision structure that provides wrap-around support for the care team at all times.
  • Undertake direct work with the children and young people as appropriate, actively reviewing case files, updating plans, and supporting professional reviewing meetings, advocating support for the child where necessary.
  • Work actively to meet the needs of the children and young people in our care through a dynamic and active team.
  • Work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people.
  • Offer supervision and support to the Care Team in line with Quality Standards & Regulations and as directed by the Home Manager. Promote a PACE approach across the home and role model best practice throughout the shifts.

Shifts: Shift pattern is based on Two on Two off. (Please note you will be required to work for the full 48 hours 10-10 over the two-day shift).

Requirements:
  • Driving Licence - Essential
  • Level 3 - Health and Social Care required or working towards - Essential
  • 2 Years experience working in Children's Residential - Essential
