Job summary

Caritas Recruitment Limited is seeking a dedicated Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Peterborough. You will conduct assessments, develop care plans, and work with families and schools to safeguard children.

Qualifications

• A recognized social work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
• Registration with Social Work England is required.
• Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
• Develop and implement effective care plans prioritising safety and welfare of children.
• Work with families, schools and other professionals to provide support.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
• Participate in multi-agency meetings and safeguarding conferences to advocate for children's best interests.
