Job summary

Wilderness Way is seeking a Children's Residential Team Leader in the UK to shape the quality of care in our homes, lead shifts and develop colleagues to deliver outstanding support for children.

You'll coach staff, oversee care plans and champion safeguarding on shift, while working with families and professionals to help children reach positive outcomes. A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is required, with a passion for trauma-informed leadership and staff development.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent is required.
• Experience in residential childcare, including supporting children with emotional or complex needs.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching or shift-leading experience.
• 21 years of age or older and eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and ensure safe, consistent, high-quality care for children.
• Coach, mentor and support staff to build confidence and best practice.
• Champion trauma-informed care and create nurturing environments.
• Ensure children's voices are heard and reflected in care and support.
• Promote education, wellbeing and independence through daily opportunities.
• Oversee care plans, risk assessments and records for quality and compliance.
• Lead safeguarding on shift and support informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with families, schools and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
• Support audits, inspections and continuous improvement of services.
• Deputise for senior leaders and help run day-to-day operations.
