Qualifications

Children's Residential Support Worker - School Setting
Location: Blackpool
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm
Contract: Full-time, term-time only
Salary: 90 - 125 per day

Tradewind are looking for a dedicated Children's Residential Support Worker to join the team within a specialist school environment in Blackpool. Working closely with teaching staff, therapists, and care teams, you will support pupils aged 7-16 who require tailored care and guidance to help them thrive both educationally and emotionally.

About the Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with SEMH needs
  • Build positive, trusting relationships to support emotional regulation and development
  • Assist in creating a safe, nurturing learning environment within a structured school setting
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and residential staff to meet individual care plans
  • Promote positive behaviour and independence through consistent and compassionate support

About You:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH or in a residential care setting is desirable
  • Calm, patient, and emotionally resilient
  • Able to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, Childcare or equivalent (preferred)
  • Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
