Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Children\'s Residential Support Worker for a children\'s home in Kempsey, Worcester. You will support young people aged 8-18 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and help them participate in age-appropriate activities.

The role requires resilience, compassion, and a commitment to safeguarding. Full UK manual driving license and ability to commute to Usk are essential. A rewarding opportunity with professional development is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with young people is desirable but not essential.
• Experience in healthcare or social care settings is advantageous.
• Must hold a full UK manual driver’s license; transportation of young people may be required.

Responsibilities

• Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their lives.
• Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the home.
• Manage challenging behaviours safely and sympathetically.
• Protect children and young people from risks to health and welfare.
• Support independence and well-being of children and young people.
• Ensure a safe environment by following care plans and guidelines.
• Develop positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers and professionals.
