Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Children's Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our children's residential home . The ideal candidate will be registered with Social Care Wales, have a strong background in children's care and home care management, with a focus on providing high-quality support to children. This role requires effective leadership skills, the ability to manage care plans, and a commitment to ensuring the well-being of all children.

Duties


Manage the overall operations of the residential facility, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Develop, implement, and monitor individual care plans for the children, tailoring services to meet their specific needs. Supervise staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care are maintained. Oversee medication administration processes, ensuring that all protocols are followed accurately. Foster a positive living environment that promotes dignity and respect for all children. Conduct regular assessments of the child's needs and adjust care plans as necessary. Liaise with families, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to coordinate care and address concerns. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to child care and facility operations.
Skills


Proven experience in assisted living or senior care management is essential. Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and staff supervision. Knowledge of care plan development and implementation processes. Familiarity with medication administration protocols within a children's residential setting. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and staff. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously. A compassionate approach towards caring for children, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their needs.
